POE: Integrated Media Arts with a Secondary Emphases in Information Technology and Communications
I love being able to learn skills that will actually benefit my various future career paths. I enjoy the academic process because it is something I love to study and engage in. I also love the IMA project-based courses and the passionate professors who teach them.
I have always loved doing art and find that IMA helps me learn new business skills and apply art techniques while also as learning to work in collaborative team settings.
I’ve worked using Adobe programs such as Illustrator and Photoshop as well as traditional illustration projects completed as commissions or as recreational activities.
After starting my college career, I have done client-based design work unique to what I’ve done before. It has broadened my horizons as a designer and given me experience toward this kind of client work.
I am still deciding my path, but I would love to do graphic design work, become a 2D animator, a storyboard or concept artist, or even a professional illustrator. No matter which career path I choose, I’d love to keep doing freelance design work as well.
