Testing My Skills Through Teaching

During the summer of 2019, I had the opportunity to work at Grier Summer, a summer camp at the Grier School in Birmingham, Pennsylvania teaching Digital Art and serving as their summer camp photographer. Throughout the six weeks spent on the Grier campus, I was able to open up creative doors for campers ages six through seventeen, capture many ‘first’ moments, but most importantly put my own digital art skills to the test by teaching classes.

Museum Exhibition Design Work at the Design Minds Inc.

This summer I had the opportunity to work at The Design Minds Inc (TDM), a museum exhibition design firm that operates out of Fairfax, VA.

Building a Business From the Ground Up

May 2019 began the adventure that would become my summer. Working 7 days a week, on and off from 9am until the next morning, with little to no separation of work and personal life. But living the life of being a full-time creative working from home. This past summer had some of the longest days, but some of the most enjoyable.

As both a Huntingdon native and professor at Juniata College, Ryan Gibboney has the ability to act as a bridge between her hometown community and that of the College. Beginning in the fall 2016 semester, Gibboney started to empower her students to work with community partners through her Integrated Media Arts classes.
