POE: Integrated Media Arts
Every Professor is super nice. They are patient and professional. The equipment is always ready to go and prepared. The atmosphere here is positive and comprehensive. I improved my Photoshop skills, and learned new animation skills.
The two most important experiences since coming to Juniata College:
The first is working as a research assistant in a digital storytelling company MyMoon. This experience aligned perfectly with my interests in children’s education and media production. I followed my favorite professor Münire Bozdemir. We worked together to create digital stories using different languages for her research focused on interactive educational online publications.
The second is the Design Thinking course taken in the fall. We were able to transform our thoughts from a high-level art and design perspective to a problem-solving and creative thinking solution. We considered the close challenges on campus life and our community such as the laundry room and ways to make improvements. I hope to continue to work on this exercise in the future.
With these experiences, my ideal career path is to become a content creator for a media focused company in the future.
“This is a year of growth. I am grateful to all the teachers, friends, and partners I have met. This is a happy year. I have traveled to different cities. This has also been a year of stimulating thinking. Through studying at IMA, I have improved my skills. The ability to practice and feel a strong connection to the community. All in all it was an amazing experience and one I will always miss.”
