Juniata Student Crafts Brand for Small Business
Huntingdon, Pa. – Monday, May 6, 2019
Juniata Essentials, a small business that crafts and sells handmade bath and skin products from all-natural ingredients, launched its new brand, which was created by a student in Juniata College’s Integrated Media Arts (IMA) program.
Founded approximately one year ago, Juniata Essentials is owned by Huntingdon native Becky (Weikert) Bard, a 2002 Juniata College graduate.
Bard worked with Juniata College student Caitlyn Konradt, who created the brand that represents the natural and handmade elements of the business.
“From the first time I met with Caitlyn, she and I were on the same page,” said Bard. “She suggested something simple, just like my products, and I couldn’t have agreed more.”
Bard’s business focuses on bath bombs, shower steamers, whipped sugar scrubs, soaking salts and lip balm, among other products.
In addition to creating a brand folks will recognize and associate with Bard’s high-quality, handcrafted products, Konradt also incorporated her designs into packaging and a menu that Bard can share with her customers, which are mostly local and social media based.
She also created a social media branding for the business. “I’m very impressed with Caitlyn’s talent and professionalism,” said Bard. “I’m especially excited to share her talents with my customers and hope to be able offer my products on the Juniata campus in the future.”h her customers, which are mostly local and social media based.
“I chose to work with Becky this semester as I was inspired by the hard work that she puts into her business,” said Konradt. “I wanted to help her strengthen Juniata Essentials by creating a more unified visual identity across social media and her handmade products.”
