Dual POEs: Multimedia Communication Design with a secondary in Production -and- Historical Interpretation through Communication
I came to Juniata as an exploratory POE because I had such a range of interests. I was able to apply my skills in a large number of places, including numerous projects on campus and with community partners. This has been an incredibly rewarding experience for me.
As well as my double POE, I will also have the Digital Humanities Certificate, which pulls from a number of departments and programs, including IMA. I have loved the opportunities to work with community partners, and it is a unique and invaluable part of the program. Through the IMA department, I have been able to be part of a number of projects, including spearheading the funding, production, and self-publication of An IMA Story. I had no experience with getting printing quotes, proof books, or publishing at all. It was something really unique that gave me the opportunity to experience something completely new. Although I don’t have a career path in mind yet, my experiences in IMA have really helped to allow me to gain expertise in a wide range of areas.
